The signs workshop at Coed y Brenin in Gwynedd, north-west Wales, was established many years ago to supply and refurbish wooden signs and picnic tables for the Forestry Commission in the UK. Negotiations between the Commission and the workforce during 2004 resulted in a management buyout, allowing the company the opportunity to work in the private sector and manage their own budget.
With vast experience in producing a wide range of signs incorporating complicated logos and colour schemes, the workforce grasped the opportunity and formed themselves into a limited company to begin trading in 2005.
Danny, Griff, Sam and Steve were the original workforce and Richard joined them to become the first directors of the company.
